Plot[]
Debra has PMS. Trying to find a cure for her irritable and over-emotional behavior, Ray gets her some medicine. She denies that her behavior is not normal, and refuses to take the drugs. Ray tapes one of her rants to show her how mean she has been lately. Confronted with this, Debra gets abusive, hitting Ray and insulting him. She eventually explains that the answer to PMS is not medicine, it is compassion.
Running Gags[]
- When Debra is yelling at Ray for recording she makes reference to how he taped football over their wedding video. This event, unlike all the others she mentions, appeared in a previous episode, specifically Everybody Loves Raymond: The Tenth Anniversary (2000).
Trivia[]
- This was one of the many arguments in this episode were actually based on Monica Horan, the actress who played Amy and her husband, Phil Rosenthal, the executive producer. According to Monica, she was crying then laughing then crying as she watched the episode, as it reminded her of her own similar experience with her husband. In fact, many of Debra's lines were based on what Monica has said to people.
