Frank refuses to see his driver's license so Robert gives him a ticket for hitting a police car. Frank turns the tables on him by kicking him out for the night to stay at Ray's house, claiming that Frank can get Robert arrested for "breaking and entering".

Once Ray and Debra notice, the latter tells them that Frank is banned from driving the kids anymore for his bad driving. The next day, Frank and Marie come to take the kids to The Happy Zone but Ray and Debra come with them to supervise. Ray goes with Frank to the Happy Zone and reveal to Debra and Marie that they got into a conflict with a family in a funeral procession that Frank had cut off the hearse. Frank then reveals his driver's license had expired last year, finally getting Ray to understand that Debra does not want Frank to drive the kids anymore. Ray then takes away the car keys from Frank and gives them to Marie.

The next morning, Frank honks the horn in front of Ray's house because he is finally going to get his driver's license renewed. However, he needs Ray to ride with him because a student whether or not they're a senior citizen but his DMV tests are at 7:30 AM and needs to get Ray going early for them. However, his bad driving continues with him accidentally cutting off a driver while driving off, giving a pedestrian the middle finger, running a stop sign, and nearly running a red light. Despite not being a good driver, he still managed to pass all his DMV tests (the writing, the seeing, the driving tests).

Even though he has a new license, Debra still bans Frank from driving the kids because he is getting older.
