The fake Mickey Mantle baseball was seen in the episode entitled "The Ball". Frank faked Mickey Mantle's signature and gave it to Ray when he was a child.
Ray absolutely loved Mickey Mantle and believed it was real. In the episode, he mentions that that autographed ball was a major factor in him becoming a sports writer.
