Mary Beth is one of the young ladies Marie met while aboard the cruise ship Star Princess. They did Tai Chi and Jazzercise together, as well as attended the discothèque.
Mary Beth was on her honeymoon at the time with her husband, whose name is never mentioned. He is only referred to as "Mary Beth's husband" by Marie.
