Synopsis[]
When Debra has a bad experience at the grocery store with the kids, she decides it's time to hire a babysitter. So she manages to get Lisa. After a while, Ally, Michael and Geoffrey end up enjoying time with Lisa more than their mother. Debra doesn't like that, so she let's Lisa go and has Marie babysit instead, which is disastrous.
Running Gags[]
- This is the first time the viewer witnesses the constant conflict between Ray and Bill Parker. The viewer also sees the first time Ray gets Carrie's name wrong. He calls her Nancy instead, and she corrects him.
- This is also an episode in which Ray calls Debra by some funny nickname: Teletubby. He says different names later in the episode (Twinkles and Sprinky) but it's unclear which he uses for Debra and which he uses for one of the children. He's calling Debra and the kids nicknames when he sees Lisa for the first time, to which he quips, "I don't have a name for you."
- Debra refers to Ray as an "idiot" in this episode, as she always does.
Trivia[]
- Nemo's name is mentioned, but he's not seen in this episode.
- In the end credits, Bill Parker's wife is listed as "Mary", when in fact her name is Carrie.
- Music is used many times throughout the series, and Ray sings three different tunes in this particular episode.
Quotes[]
- Ray: (referring to Lisa) "Listen, I never think of her, ever."
